The Airborne Fine Particle Pollution Characteristics and Source Appointment Project in Langfang City undertaken by EED successfully passed the expert review and received favorable comments

On January 21st, 2015, an expert review meeting was held in Langfang City Environmental Protection Bureau under the responsibility of “Langfang City's Atmospheric Fine Particle Pollution Characteristics and Source Analysis” jointly undertaken by the Energy and Environmental Development Research Center (EED)  and Tsinghua University’s School of Environment.




In the meeting, LiuXin, Director of EED introduced the source of the project, its purpose and significance, and related work conditions. He Kebin, Dean of Environmental School in Tsinghua University reported the results of the project.

Five experts from China National Environmental Monitoring Center, Environmental Planning Institute of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Hebei Provincial Environmental Emergency and Heavy Pollution Weather Warning Center, the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Peking University, School of environmental science and engineering of Nankai university formed an export group, listened to the reports of project outcomes, and reviewed related materials. After full demonstration, it was unanimously believed that the project had a clear research purpose, a reasonable technical route, scientific research methods, a working system that was full and compact, and the analysis was comprehensive, detailed, thorough, with credible, reliable, and available results. The analytical results were in line with the local actual conditions and provided important technical supports for air pollution control in Langfang City.

The project won the unanimous approval of the leaders from the Langfang Environmental Protection Bureau and the experts participated in the meeting.
