This project provided technical instructions to PMOs so as to fulfill implementation of project. The
GEF Grant will support nature reserve and forest farm ADB Loan activities
through training in ecosystems approaches to wetlands restoration and species
and habitat management, and provision of technical expertise in planning and
implementation of plans. There will be input to the preparation of the
2016-2020 operational management plans for both the Yancheng and the Dafeng
Nature Reserves, strengthening of ecological monitoring, and the implementation
of pilot programmes that encourage changes in agricultural and fish-farming
practices in the buffer zone and experimental zone of Yancheng NNR. In the
forest farms the GEF Grant will support training and the preparation of wetland
and biodiversity conservation plans aimed at reducing the impacts of the forest
farms on biodiversity and promoting additional income streams.
