In order to implement the "Eleventh
Five-Year Plan Outline for National Economic and Social Development" and
the "Renewable Energy Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan" and
promote rural energy development and the development and utilization of
renewable energy, the National Energy Administration initiated the application
for the declaration of green energy demonstration counties in November 2009,
and finally identified 108 counties as demonstration counties of green energy.
In the application work of the National Energy Administration's Green Energy
Demonstration County in 2011, EED prepared plans and construction plans for
green energy demonstration counties in more than 20 counties in Shandong,
Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei and Sichuan. The implementation plan was
approved by the relevant national authorities.
